Smith Tower is available for private events accommodating up to 80 people. With two distinctive spaces of The Observatory and The Lookout lounge and deck, this truly unique and historic setting is perfect for receptions, special events, celebrations and one-of-a-kind gatherings with friends, family or co-workers.

The experience begins the minute your guests enter the building and enjoy being whisked up to the 22nd-floor Lookout lounge and deck or the 35th-floor Observatory in an original 1914 Otis copper and brass elevator. Whether your guests are Seattle natives or visiting from afar, your event will be one to remember with breathtaking views and a gorgeous ambience.

THE OBSERVATORY

Your guests will sense the intrigue of a bygone era at Smith Tower featuring bootleggers, partygoers, world travelers, teetotalers - and everything in between. Highlights include:

  • Newly remodeled 1,000 square foot room, including a 360-degree viewing deck of Seattle and the surrounding area. Room rental fee and food and beverage minimums are required for private bookings.
  • Accommodates up to 40 seated guests and up to 80 guests reception-style. Full plated meals are not currently available.
  • Catering provided by Smith Tower, featuring a fun menu of local favorites.
  • We are unable to accommodate requests within two weeks of the event date.
  • Due to an influx of inquiries during the holiday season, responses may take up to two weeks. Thank you for your patience.

THE LOOKOUT

The Lookout lounge and deck is a contemporary space offering a sleek interior lounge that transitions into a modern roof deck overlooking Seattle. Highlights include:

  • Modern interior lounge at 1,300 square feet and adjacent deck at 1,500 square feet with comfortable seating and stunning views. Room rental fee and food and beverage minimums are required for private bookings.
  • Accommodates up to 80 guests for an indoor reception with access to outdoor deck, weather permitting. Seated meals are not currently available.
  • Catering provided by Smith Tower, featuring a fun menu of local favorites (seated dinners not available).
  • We are unable to accommodate requests within two weeks of the event date.
  • Due to an influx of inquiries during the holiday season, responses may take up to two weeks. Thank you for your patience.
  • Available after 6:00 PM on weekdays. Weekends are flexible.
