May is Bike Month, and there are many ways to participate all month long! Goodman Real Estate is promoting Bike Month as a viable commute alternative for many people, as a sustainable practice, and as a great overall boost to health and fitness.

May 7: Participate in National Bike to School Day!
May 9: Join Commute Seattle and Velo Bike Shop for our 4th Annual Bikes & Bagels. From 7-9 a.m., stop by McGraw Square (5th Avenue & Stewart Street) for free Eltana bagels, free Caffe Vita coffee, a SeattleMet photo booth, swag, and raffle prizes! Mayor Murray will stop by between 8-9 a.m. Please share the Facebook event with your friends and colleagues!
May 10: Bike to the Mariners Game! Receive discounted tickets and a free gift when you bike to the Mariners game. This event benefits local nonprofits and is being put on through a partnership with Cascade Bicycle Club and Puget Sound Starts Here.
May 16: Friday, May 16 is National Bike to Work Day! Commute stations will be set up all over Seattle for you to stop by and enjoy on your way to work. Find the station closest to you here!
May 16: Can’t get enough of Bike to Work Day? Stop by the Via6 Apartments (6th and Blanchard) for the Bike 2 Work Day Afterparty. Enjoy free food and drinks from Tom Douglas Restaurants, a DJ from KEXP, swag and giveaways from Commute Seattle and VeloBikeShop!
May 18: Bike to the Ballard Farmers Market! The first 50 people to ride to the market and come to the Cascade Bicycle Club booth will receive a free tote bag. Everyone can take part in a variety of fun activities hosted by Cascade Bicycle Club.
May 24-May 31: Take part in Shop By Bike Week! Enjoy discounts at participating businesses and show businesses how normal it is for their customers to arrive by bike.
May 24-May 31: Celebrate the end of Bike Month at the Ballard Bike Street Party from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. with live music, drawings, free food and drink samples, and even a fashion show! There will be fun activities for kids too, including a bike parade down Ballard Avenue at 5:30 p.m.
